Hi Kendra Congratulations on taking control of your body image despite it being so easy to fall into old habits. I am doubly impressed with you doing this while taking care of a baby toddler and an infant, I don't know where or how you get your energy. Good job, you are an inspiration and I mean that honestly.
You and I are very close in size, height and weight so I can completely relate to the internal dialogue, the guilt, and at times the self loathing. When I lost 40 pounds a few years ago I was on that scale everyday and felt that the numbers never lie. They do..often. For example, yesterday I weighed 3 pounds less then I do today. WHY? Because I spent the entire morning yesterday sweating. I lost fluids and that is the only reason for the difference. I say weigh everyday if you like (so hard not to when you're on a roll of losing) but maybe start a graph of your Friday weigh ins and really only count those weights as the official chart.
When I lost the weight I kept it off for 3 years. I only gained once I started trying to conceive and had some really rough times, I comfort ate. Then I got pregnant with my little man and all hell broke loose. However, to maintain my weight I found that having one fake cheat a day (frozen yogurts, 100 calorie chocolate bars, tea cookies etc)and a full day off the diet kept me on track for the long haul. You can't be good all the time so limit your bad days and look forward to them.
Keep up the good work. In Weight Watchers every hour of exercise affords you an extra 150 calories which could mean an extra snack when you most need it !
Kendra, don't let this get you down! If you are doing everything you should then it is most likely muscle building from the increased exercise. That muscle will begin burning more fat soon, just keep building it. Sometimes the scale can be counter-productive - mentally - when things like this happen. You are doing fantastic! If you are losing inches everything is good! *hugs* Laura
